Gianluigi Donnarumma, the 25-year-old goalkeeper who arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in 2021 with a contract running until 2026 (following the end of his own at AC Milan), is regularly called into question by fans and observers alike. Even so, an extension is under discussion, but it’s not going to be easy. PSG Inside Actu reported on Wednesday that there is competition from two Serie A giants.

“Their aim: to force PSG’s hand”
“While Gianluigi Donnarumma is currently in talks with Paris Saint-Germain to extend his contract, two major Italian clubs – probably Inter Milan and Juventus Turin – are trying to scupper the negotiations.
According to several sources close to the matter, these two Serie A giants have begun maneuvering to convince the Italian international goalkeeper not to sign a new contract with the Parisian club. Their objective: to force PSG’s hand in the hope that the Parisian club will agree to let him leave for a sum of money, thus avoiding a free departure in the medium term.”
We remain cautious, there are only rumours at the moment. But Donnarumma has made it clear that he hopes to continue at PSG. That’s an essential point to bear in mind. Even if it’s not everything.
We’ll have to wait a little longer to be sure. Some clubs are undoubtedly paying close attention, with a door that could open for one of the best goalkeepers in the game. Possibly in Serie A, which the Italian international could return to.
But nothing’s been decided yet. Let’s wait and see what happens next.
