Randal Kolo Muani, the 26-year-old striker signed by Paris Saint-Germain until June 2028, was one of the club’s biggest transfers when he arrived at the summer mercato in September 2023. However, he failed to establish himself and is now leaving on loan to Juventus Turin. La Gazzetta dello Sport already points out that he could well continue with the Bianconeri afterwards.
“Gazzetta: Juve have not ruled out keeping Kolo Muani beyond this season, especially if he performs well. The agreement with #PSG is a straight loan, with a salary of 3.5M paid by Juve.”
It’s not a loan without an option to buy, just the idea of keeping the player for 6 months, whatever happens, in order to temporarily strengthen their squad until they get something better. Juventus could keep Kolo Muani afterwards. We’re wary of rumours, but it makes sense. The striker has shone for Frankfurt and several times for the French national team, so there may be hope of reviving his career.
However, Kolo Muani’s future is very unclear at the moment. With no option to buy, the Turin club won’t be able to get ahead of other clubs. Apart from the possibility of an assignment and the idea that the player won’t necessarily want to embark on anything else yet. Negotiations will still have to take place, notably with PSG.
It remains to be seen whether Paris and the French international will be in a good position to talk things over after some big performances, or whether the summer will be a long one after half a season without really getting going again.
