Randal Kolo Muani, the 26-year-old forward signed by Paris Saint-Germain in September 2023, is one of the club’s biggest transfer targets. But he has failed to make an impact, and a departure is looming this winter. Sports journalist Romain Collet Gaudin now insists that AS Monaco will try their luck.
“AS Monaco will offer PSG a loan deal for Randal Kolo Muani, who no longer fits into Luis Enrique’s plans.”
It’s not impossible, as Monaco need to compensate for the long absence of Folarin Balogun (23, injury estimated until April) and perhaps without blocking his future. Kolo Muani could be an option, at a lower loan cost. Coach Adi Hütter had at least not ruled out the idea.
But we remain cautious, as there’s nothing concrete yet, and the Parisian striker may have other ideas than staying in Ligue 1. Just as PSG might prefer a departure somewhere other than a “competitor”. The offer must also be convincing (how much will the salary be covered?).
We’ll have to wait and see. The next few weeks will be turbulent for Kolo Muani, and the outcome of the dossier is far from clear. Except that a departure would be logical.
