As the 2024-2025 winter mercato draws ever closer (January), the rumors surrounding Paris Saint-Germain are piling up. Today, it’s L’Equipe, via its journalist Loïc Tanzi, who asserts that PSG could soon lose one of the prodigies of its youth academy: 15-year-old striker Roméo Garnier.
“At youth level, PSG must deal with the case of Roméo Garnier (2009). Identified as a player with potential, the striker is available at the end of the season. The club did not expose him to the market, and his playing time was reduced. A complex situation and an increasingly plausible departure.”
We still don’t know Garnier very well, having only seen a few videos. But he’s already got the hang of scoring goals, and there’s hope that he’ll make the step up to professional level. However, perhaps there’s a good reason why PSG haven’t made any progress on a new extension. Or maybe it’s because there will be regrets if he does leave.
