Victor Osimhen, a 256-year-old striker under contract to Napoli until 2026, was rumored to be close to Paris Saint-Germain during the summer mercato, but the deal was never finalized. Instead, the Nigerian international went on loan to Galatasaray at the last minute. He is now back in the limelight, and is once again rumored to be heading to PSG this summer, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport. A €75m clause would be valid only for foreign clubs.
“Gazzetta: Victor Osimhen has a €75M release clause valid only for foreign clubs. PSG could try again, after offering 200M for the Kvara-Osi tandem last summer. Arsenal, Liverpool, United and Juve on his trail.”
Do PSG really want Victor Osimhen? One has to wonder. The player could easily have come, but no pressure was applied. Luis Enrique doesn’t seem to be a “fan” of the player’s profile. Of course, the player is a top performer, so rumors are rife.
It’s worth remembering, however, that the player was dreaming of a move to the Premier League, and a number of clubs seem to be interested in him this summer. Another rumour with no future? Between Osimhen and PSG, it’s love at first sight.
