The 2025 summer mercato isn’t open yet, of course, but it’s already underway, so rumors about Paris Saint-Germain still arrive from time to time. This time, La Gazzette dello Sport is reporting that the Parisian club is interested in Mario Gila, the 24-year-old right-sided central defender from Lazio. A price of €30m is expected.
“Le PSG s’intéresse à Mario Gila !
Le défenseur central droitier de la Lazio, formé au Real Madrid, intéresse également City, le Bayern et son ancien club.
Le club romain n’attend pas moins de 30M€ pour se séparer du joueur de 24 ans. (La Gazzetta)”
Mario Gila is a good player, but he hasn’t made his mark in recent years. PSG may have been following the player, but for the moment, it’s a “thin” rumor. We know that Luis Campos likes to look for young talent, so perhaps he’s the right player for Luis Enrique.
Meanwhile, with the end of the season just around the corner, there’s plenty to do with the current squad. While the Parisian board has no doubt already started work on next year’s squad, we’re still a long way from being able to identify all Luis Enrique’s needs and desires for the coming season.
