Mario Gila, Lazio Rome’s 24-year-old central defender (contract until 2027), has been announced as one of Paris Saint-Germain’s mercato targets. TuttoMercatoWeb reported on Wednesday that PSG have already made progress, even if the transfer has not yet been completed.
“According to TuttoMercatoWeb, Paris Saint-Germain have been applying pressure in recent hours, so much so that they have already reached an agreement in principle with Mario Gila’s entourage.
He has two years left on his contract, and is one of Lazio’s lowest-paid players.
Lazio value him at no less than 40 million euros”.
We remain cautious, as these are still just rumours. Moreover, we recently saw that Lazio wanted 50 million euros for Gila, and the price is changing rapidly in the various media. There is also talk of a move for Ilya Zabarnyi (22, Bournemouth and Ukraine). But PSG won’t recruit everyone.
Let’s not forget that the mercato can move very quickly, and the Parisian defensive recruit, if there is one, could well be another player. But it’s not impossible that Paris has moved on Gila, an interesting player to try and strengthen the squad.
