Gabriel Moscardo, the 19-year-old midfielder who joined Paris Saint-Germain from Corinthians in the summer of 2024 (after a winter loan), has been loaned out to Stade de Reims for the 2024-2025 season in order to gain experience. However, he has only played 105 minutes so far, and there is talk of ending the loan this winter. A discussion between the clubs is planned shortly, according to Le Parisien.
“PSG plan to discuss the matter with Reims when the season resumes, in order to make the best decision for the future. The Champenois club and its coach, Luka Elsner, have always praised the player’s good state of mind, but have not played him enough. All the more reason to consider a loan move this winter.”
Of course, this is not enough playing time, and there are questions to be asked about the future. It’s worth bearing in mind that Moscardo had just returned from a lengthy foot injury in the summer and had the misfortune to be in the infirmary again from September to mid-October because of his hip.
We had to find our rhythm and impose ourselves. Perhaps a more important place is in store for Reims for the rest of the season. But it’s best to take stock of the situation. If ever the Brazilian midfielder is no longer really in the plans, returning to PSG may be preferable. Whether it’s for a new loan or to complete the squad, with a possible progression also in training.
We’ll have to wait and see what the decision is.
