Ibrahim Mbaye, a 16-year-old striker (17 on January 24) trained at Paris Saint-Germain, is under an aspirant contract until 2026. The Parisian club would like to lose no time in signing him as a professional. L’Equipe and Le Parisien confirmed this morning’s indications: the Parisian star signed his contract today.
“Following a final meeting this afternoon, PSG have reached a final agreement to sign Ibrahim Mbaye’s first professional contract. Lease for 3 years + 1 optional year. Signature to follow.”
“It’s signed for Ibrahim Mbaye. First professional contract initialled a few minutes ago”.
So there’s no doubt about it for Mbaye, who has made a long-term commitment to PSG. Such good news, given the young striker’s talent and promise. We’re now waiting for him to return from injury, and then we’ll have to work even harder to get him opportunities with the professional squad.
The start of the season was promising, with a few first-team appearances. We hope he returns to form and continues to grow, with patience. We know that coach Luis Enrique will be attentive and ready to give opportunities. But you’ve got to earn it, in a club that’s obviously very demanding and competitive.
