Franco Mastantuono, a 17-year-old attacking midfielder under contract to River Plate until December 2026, is a new talent in Argentine soccer. He has joined the long list of players rumoured to be in the sights of Paris Saint-Germain this summer. Doble Amarilla reported on Thursday that PSG have agreed in principle to a transfer in 2026.
“Bombshell at #River: Principle of agreement for Franco #Mastantuono to play at #PSG from next year, as it could be learned.
📌The meetings were two weeks ago in Buenos Aires: one in a hotel and another in a renowned restaurant with leaders of the “Millonario”.
📌It is an express request from Luis Enrique.”
Please note that this is not an official announcement. It’s best to remain cautious until it’s official. Even so, the fact that several media outlets have mentioned a breakthrough in a short space of time suggests that this is at least a file that really exists.
We’ll have to wait and see, however, as everything can change very quickly during the mercato, with rumours and discussions changing rapidly as several clubs are often interested. But Mastantuono could be PSG’s new recruit with enormous potential.
