Cristhian Mosquera, Valencia’s 20-year-old defender under contract until 2026, has been announced as one of Paris Saint-Germain’s mercato targets. Marca asserts this Thursday that there are strong contenders for the player’s signature, and puts a price tag on him.
A battle for less than €20 million?
“Aston Villa are interested in Valencia CF player Cristian Mosquera, according to Radio Marca. The English club, managed by Unai Emery and with Monchi as sporting director, has been keeping a close eye on the defender since last season. The English club has taken advantage of its good relations with the Valencian club to closely study the player’s development.
On the domestic front, Atlético Madrid and Villarreal have also expressed an interest in the central defender. There’s no formal offer yet, but the exit fee could be in the region of €18 million.”
We remain cautious, as nothing is certain yet. These are just rumours, without an official announcement. We’re not even sure that Mosquera is really on PSG’s radar, even if it is credible. The same goes for other clubs.
But we suspect that this young talent is attracting interest from a number of clubs. The price is also doubtful, even if the end of his contract in a year’s time could make it difficult for Valencia to negotiate. If there are several clubs in the running, there’s still reason to hope for a higher price.
Let’s wait and see. There are still many possibilities.
