Rodrygo, the 24-year-old Real Madrid and Brazil striker (under contract until 2028), has been the subject of rumors of interest from several big clubs, including Paris Saint-Germain. All the more so as there are tensions surrounding the Brazilian in Madrid at the moment. According to PSG Inside Actus, PSG’s position is quite clear.
“While some media outlets are fuelling rumours of Paris Saint-Germain’s interest in Rodrygo, the reality is very different. According to several sources I’ve managed to contact, no direct contact has ever been established between the Parisian club and the Brazilian player’s entourage.
These speculations seem to be fuelled more by the uncertainties surrounding Rodrygo’s future at Real Madrid than by any concrete desire on the part of PSG to recruit him at this stage.”
We’re wary, it’s only a rumor and not an official response. However, it is at least as credible as the idea of recruitment. The latter seems to be coming mainly from certain supporters at the moment. We’re talking about a talented player, so there’s plenty to consider.
But it may also be rushing things a little, without thinking about the possible price tag, the defensive efforts that are far from being a habit, and dissatisfaction with a lack of playing time that may not fit in well with Paris coach Luis Enrique’s game and competition.
In any case, for the moment there is not the slightest concrete indication of a transfer. And it’s not an obvious priority to fight for Rodrygo.
