Marcus Rashford, the 27-year-old Manchester United and England striker (contract runs until 2028), has been rumoured to be in the sights of Paris Saint-Germain several times in recent years. These rumours are coming back for the winter mercato, as his club would like to sell him. Caughtoffside assures us that there is indeed Parisian interest.
“PSG, like other major European clubs, are watching Rashford’s situation!
Last summer, PSG had already held discussions with Rashford, but they never led to particularly advanced results.
United could sell him for £40m
Caughtoffside.”
Rashford has already been talked about at PSG, and Parisian president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi made no secret of his admiration for the player when asked about it. However, we remain cautious. These are just rumours, and the striker’s place in the new project is far from self-evident.
He has never really reached the level expected of him, and it’s not for nothing that Manchester United could be open to his departure at a fairly low price in relation to his contract. It’s an opportunity that could lead to an enquiry, with perhaps the hope of relaunching the England international and taking him to the next level. But nothing is certain. Not to mention that Rashford may have other preferences.
