Rodrigo Mora, FC Porto’s 17-year-old attacking midfielder/winger (under contract until 2027) who has made a remarkable professional debut, has been mentioned as a target for Paris Saint-Germain this summer. Luis Pinto Coelho claims that PSG are ready to pay the release clause for this promising young talent. We’re talking €45m.
“PSG ready to pay Rodrigo Mora’s release clause!
It’s worth €45 million!”
PSG’s appetite for young players with great potential is well known. Mora falls into this category. But high potential doesn’t necessarily mean success. Potential is one thing, career reality another.
Once you’ve put the quotation marks in, you’ve got to admit that the Porto youngster’s debut has been very interesting, and that it’s only logical that clubs should be interested in this up-and-coming player. Now we’ll have to wait until the summer to see what happens.
Does PSG need an attacking midfielder with no real CV? Perhaps it’s to prepare for the future, even if with Luis Enrique, youngsters can find their place very quickly (Doué, Mayulu, Zaïre-Emery, Neves…).
