The 2024 summer mercato is over, but what’s next is still being prepared, and the rumors surrounding Paris Saint-Germain continue. Today, PSG Inside Actus is reporting that Zakaria Aboukhal, the 24-year-old Moroccan striker under contract until 2026, is of interest to the Parisian club, who made an approach a few months ago and could relaunch his career.
“𝐙𝐚𝐤𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚 𝐀𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐤𝐡𝐥𝐚𝐥 interests PSG and especially Campos. Talks between the two clubs could resume and come to fruition as early as the next winter mercato. He could have come this summer, but with his serious injury, Paris wanted to wait before making a decision. I spoke to you about this on September 27.
It’s not totally impossible, but we’re still very cautious as there’s no confirmation whatsoever and it’s a rather surprising lead. He’s a talented player, but he’s not necessarily a candidate for the top European level.
The good thing is that he might agree to be an understudy in the first instance. Perhaps discussions will indeed take place. We’re waiting for more certainty in this possible Aboukhal dossier.
