Renato Marin, the 18-year-old goalkeeper who is at the end of his contract at AS Roma, has been rumoured to be close to signing for Paris Saint-Germain, with a view to joining the Parisian squad this summer. L’Equipe reports this Friday that the deal is complete.
“The goalkeeper has signed a five-year contract with the capital club to become the third goalkeeper in Luis Enrique’s squad.
The arrival of the 18-year-old goalkeeper will push Arnau Tenas towards the exit. The 23-year-old Spaniard will leave PSG this summer. However, Paris will not be able to count on the Italian-Brazilian keeper for the Club World Cup in the USA. AS Roma have refused to release the player before the end of his contract on June 30.”
Beware, there’s still some doubt as long as it’s not official. We know that the mercato can quickly change and surprise. However, the media are generally in agreement about the outcome of this dossier. Which is rather credible.
Even if Marin’s arrival is not yet a huge success. The young keeper still has a lot to prove. But we have no doubt that PSG would not have acted haphazardly. We’ll have to wait and see what the precise plan is for the future (a loan?). We need to be certain that the keeper is coming.
