Luis Campos arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022, replacing sporting director Leonardo, but with a special role as “soccer advisor”. His track record is a regular topic of debate, and rumours of a departure returned this summer, as did those of a contract extension. Le Parisien reports that the sports consultant has not yet validated the contract proposal in his hands. The fate of certain key players remains in doubt, notably Gianluigi Donnarumma, Arnau Tenas, Marco Asensio and Presnel Kimpembe. According to RMC Sport, the same applies to Campos, who has not extended his contract. On the mercato front, Milan Skriniar and Randal Kolo Muani have been asked to leave, and PSG will be looking to strengthen their squad if these two players leave.

“A Campos departure? Discussions on the advisor, who is free at the end of the season, have not yet been concluded.

Campos has an offer to extend his contract, but the Portuguese wants a big salary, so talks are on hold!

Campos’s departure?

For the winter mercato, PSG first want to sell Skriniar and Kolo Muani to look at opportunities!”

Paris Saint-Germain are currently facing uncertainty over the future of Gianluigi Donnarumma, Presnel Kimpembe, Marco Asensio and Arnau Tenas, whose contracts run until 2026. Donnarumma, despite his position as first-choice keeper, is facing criticism and competition from Matvey Safonov. Kimpembe, often injured, has not been offered an extension and has yet to prove his worth.

Asensio is slow to establish himself in attack, while Tenas is looking to integrate into the first team. PSG must secure its talents and manage these contractual situations to define the club’s future.

Things are in motion at PSG, proving that the project has yet to take shape. There are still some major adjustments to be made, and the decision to extend certain key players while putting the future of others on hold means that Paris is still looking for a backbone.
