As announced several weeks ago, 22-year-old defender Ilya Zabarnyi is set to leave Bournemouth to join Paris Saint-Germain in a transfer reported by the press to be worth around €70 million. According to journalist Jorge Picon, the English club is currently working hard to find a successor for the Ukrainian international.

“Bournemouth are actively working to find a replacement for Ilia Zabarnyi, as the English club are aware of his desire to join PSG!”
With preparations for the Club World Cup in full swing, PSG should be more active on the transfer market once the tournament is over and before the season resumes in August. Although the matter is currently just a rumour, there are many indications that the transfer may soon be completed.
The English club are working hard to find the Ukrainian’s successor, while the French capital are trying to win their fifth trophy of the season. So we’ll have to wait and see what changes are made to this already rich squad, which has been strengthened by these successes.
