Paris Saint-Germain lost 1-0 to Monaco this Saturday at the Stade Louis II in Matchday 14 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season. After the match, PSG coach Luis Enrique spoke at a press conference.
Enrique: “We didn’t deserve any more.”
What is your opinion on the foul on Lucas Chevalier?
“What I can say is that Lucas Chevalier was very lucky today. As for the second question, we’ll have to watch the match again to analyze it and see what we did wrong. But it’s easy to say, because it was a match with a lot of inaccuracies and mistakes. We didn’t deserve any more.”
Why don’t you think the referee consulted VAR?
“You’ll have to ask the person who made that decision.” I’d like to talk a lot, a lot, a lot… But I prefer to say that Chevalier was very lucky, I think that’s enough.
Luis Enrique: “It was a very bad night.”
How do you explain this lack of chances for both teams?
“Neither team played at a high level, even if they played better than us. It was difficult at the start of the match; it’s difficult to maintain consistency when you make so many individual errors. I think it was our worst match of the season.”
Is PSG tired?
“It would be very easy for me to say that. I have no excuses; we have to strive to perform every day, even if it’s not easy. It wasn’t easy for Monaco, but they deserved it more than us, even though we had the same expected goals. For us, it was a very bad night.”
