Paris Saint-Germain won 1-4 against Montpellier (video summary Montpellier/PSG) this Saturday at the Stade de la Mosson as part of the 33rd day of Ligue 1 2024-2025. Speaking to Free Foot, 26-year-old striker Gonçalo Ramos, scorer of a hat-trick on Saturday, reflected on the win and his performance.
Ramos “”I think it’s an important moment in one’s life“”.
Does it feel good to put in a performance like this?
“Yes, it feels good to enjoy the moment. It’s always good to score goals and even more so a hat-trick. It’s the second for me here and the fourth in my career, so I’m very happy.”
How did you feel after qualifying for the Champions League final?
“I think it’s an important moment in one’s life. We’re going to give it our all because we obviously don’t know when we’ll be able to play another final. We’re going to try to win the game and have a great party.”
Ramos “I’ve watched every game from the stands”.
We get the impression that the coach always keeps you involved no matter what the match?
“Yes, the coach told us he watches every training session, every game. You can make the difference in one, five or fifty minutes, so you always have to give 100%. That’s what we’re here for. We’ve got a lot of quality in the team, but there are only eleven of them playing.”
How do you keep that focus and level of performance?
“The mentality comes from the bad times. I started the season with a big injury and for three and a half I couldn’t play or train. I watched all the games from the stands and today I’m very happy to play no matter how many minutes.”
