This Tuesday evening, Paris Saint-Germain drew 1-1 (video highlights Nantes/PSG) against Nantes in the late match of the 29th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025 at the Stade de la Beaujoire. Here are our top and bottom picks from the draw.
Tops –
Invincibility
It’s difficult to play these games when the team is already champions. You can see the limits, a bit of fatigue, a turnover and your head’s in the Champions League. But we haven’t lost a single game in 30.
Beraldo
He played a very good game. He’s a player who’s coming into his own. He’s often in the right place, he talks a lot, he replaces. He deserves to be watched closely. He’s still got soccer in his feet.
Vitinha
Still the metronome of this team, sometimes perhaps a little too much so. He regulates the team and if PSG hasn’t lost any games this season, Vitinha has a lot to do with it. He touched a lot of the ball, and could have scored a second goal after his first, which broke the deadlock.
Flops –
Too much slacking
PSG have been boring lately. If we add to the boredom of Ligue 1 the disappointment of the Champions League quarter-final against Aston Villa, we’re clearly in a slump. This kind of match should have boosted our confidence, but it’s going to make us a little tense.
Dembélé/Kvaratskhelia
The two players aren’t as fluid as they were a few games ago. We’re seeing more poor choices and perhaps a little less physicality. PSG are French champions, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens in the Champions League, where each player’s performance will count for much more.
