Lucas Chevalier, the 26-year-old goalkeeper for the French national team, joined Paris Saint-Germain from Lille during the summer transfer window on a contract until 2030. The goalkeeper’s number had not been announced, but it was revealed on the club’s official website: it is 30.
A number that usually suggests a third-choice goalkeeper at the highest level, but we suspect that Chevalier will have a very different status and that this choice was simply based on availability. Perhaps it will change one day, unless this number suits him best on the pitch. Sometimes you can get attached to it.
