Alessandro Florenzi, the 34-year-old Italian right-back (49 caps) who played for Paris Saint-Germain during the 2020-2021 season on loan from AS Roma, has decided to retire. He suffered a cruciate ligament rupture a year ago.
Florenzi is hanging up his boots with his achievements including Euro 2021 with Italy, the Coupe de France with PSG, and the Serie A title with AC Milan in 2022. We thank him for his time in Paris, even if he left a certain disappointment among many supporters. We wish him well in this change of career, perhaps somewhat forced by his injury.
