On Monday evening, Paris Saint-Germain released an official statement to announce a new addition to its management team. Anne Descamps has been appointed as the new Director of Communications, replacing Pascal Ferré, who previously served as the Head of Press and Media Relations for the first team.
“Starting in August, Anne Descamps will report directly to the President of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, and will sit on the Club’s Top Management Committee, led by Victoriano Melero, the General Manager.
Anne will also work closely with the leadership team of Qatar Sports Investments, particularly regarding relations with investors and other shareholders of the club, as well as QSI’s broader partnerships related to the Club, such as the potential NBA franchise.
Over the past seven years, Anne has been part of the executive team of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee — responsible for one of the most successful sporting events in the history of French sport and the Olympic Games — serving as Executive Director of Communications and spokesperson for the Organizing Committee.”
This is a significant decision in the club’s strategic vision and development, even if its impact is less visible than on the sporting side. However, the club’s image and what it communicates are essential to its growth, aiming for a strong and positive identity. Not to mention, of course, the continued development of its global reputation and revenue.
We welcome Anne Descamps to PSG and wish her a successful and fulfilling journey with the club.
