Maghnes Akliouche, 23-year-old attacking midfielder/winger for AS Monaco, was listed by the media as a target for Paris Saint-Germain for the 2024 summer transfer window, but he has extended his contract (from 2026 to 2028). PSG, however, is still reportedly interested in the future, while ASM has opened the door this time. Journalist Abdellah Boulma claims the player had an agreement with Paris last year, except the price was too high. This could change.
“Paris had a verbal agreement last year. But at the time, ASM was demanding a high amount. Leverkusen also took a stance on the matter. The player has since changed agents, and ASM could now lower its demands. At this stage, no concrete contact has been made by PSG…”
These are relatively credible claims, but it’s not entirely clear. There does seem to be mutual interest between Akliouche and PSG, except that there’s no guarantee that there will be any concrete progress in this transfer window. It’s possible.
It makes sense with this talented and versatile player. Especially since he could thus move closer to a spot on the French national team. A tempting prospect. Now let’s wait and see if there will be negotiations and if an agreement is possible. Patience and caution will still be required in this transfer window.
