Oliwia Szperkowska, the 23-year-old goalkeeper who arrived at Paris Saint-Germain in 2024 from KKS Czarni Sosnowiec, spent last season on loan at Birmingham and returns to the Polish club for the 2025-2026 financial year following a contract extension. PSG made both signings official on Friday.
“Parisian until 2027
Oliwia Szperkowska extends her contract until 2027 and is loaned out to KKS Czarni Sosnowiec!
Paris Saint-Germain congratulates Oliwia on her extension and wishes her an excellent season on loan at KKS Czarni Sosnowiec.
“Trained in Poland, Oliwia made her professional debut with UKS SMS Łódź, where she quickly distinguished herself as one of the top prospects in her position. She then joined Górnik Łęczna in 2021, where she played two full seasons, including in the Women’s Champions League.
Joining the Paris Saint-Germain women’s team in January 2024, Oliwia Szperkowska continued to progress within the Parisian squad for one season before being loaned to English club Birmimgham City, with whom she played 6 matches.”
Faced with immense competition, Szperkowska will continue to hone her skills and gain playing time on loan. All this with the hope of eventually earning a place at PSG. There’s that confidence, symbolized by the contract extension.
We can only wish the Polish goalkeeper a very good season, before taking stock again next summer of her possible place in the Parisian project.
