Ousmane Dembélé, Paris Saint-Germain’s 27-year-old striker, had to withdraw from the French national team’s November training camp (which began today) despite being one of the 4 Parisians called up (along with Warren Zaïre-Emery, Randal Kolo Muani and Bradley Barcola). PSG has issued a statement to give some indication.
These details are reassuring, as Dembélé is not seriously injured. Which doesn’t mean he’ll be playing when the season resumes (against Toulouse on Friday November 22), but there’s reason to hope so. There’s obviously a certain amount of caution in a busy schedule. Let’s hope the twirling winger will be ready soon.
