Being at the Paris Saint-Germain academy—or that of any other club—does not exempt players from their academic studies. While the schedule differs, the expectations remain high. PSG demonstrated this clearly with the 2026 baccalauréat results, as reported by Le Parisien.
“A rate well above the national average.”
“This is a result PSG is very proud of—a record that will be highlighted to all the teenagers dreaming of joining the Parisian academy. During the most recent baccalauréat session, 97% of final-year students at PSG’s Cité éducative passed the exam. This rate is well above the national average (91.4%) and surpasses the 95% figure recorded last year.”
This is an aspect rarely discussed in professional football, as the focus—understandably—tends to be on the pitch. Yet education is taken very seriously. Having a solid foundation is important, especially given the inherent uncertainty of a career in the sport. PSG has clearly provided excellent support for its young players, which is highly commendable. This is a contributing factor to its top ranking among French youth academies, a list recently published by the French Football Federation.
