On the sidelines of a press conference on Friday to discuss tomorrow’s Ligue 1 2024-2025 match against Angers (kick-off 5pm, CET), Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique was interviewed by PSG TV. He discussed the French Cup final on May 24 (against Reims), tomorrow’s league title and this summer’s Club World Cup.
What does reaching the final of the Coupe de France mean to you ?
This final means a lot to us, the chance to play in a cup final. It’s a goal we set ourselves at the beginning of the season. Playing at the Stade de France with our supporters will be a wonderful experience, and we’re delighted.
Is tomorrow’s possible championship match a motivating factor ?
Of course, it’s a great motivation to be able to win the championship trophy at home, with our supporters. It’s going to be a special moment, and we want to be ready for it.
The Club World Cup trophy ?
It’s the first time I’ve seen it, and it’s lovely!
Does it bring the competition to a close ?
Having the trophy is important, it gives us extra motivation. We have to think about the summer, when we’ll be playing for the trophy and trying to win it. I think it should stay here (laughs).
