Désiré Doué, Paris Saint-Germain’s 20-year-old midfielder/attacker, spoke to DAZN after the 2-0 victory over Bayern Munich (video highlights PSG/Bayern Munich) at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday, in the quarter-finals of the 2025 Club World Cup.

Doué: “It was important for us to get revenge.”

Was it quite a match?

Yes, it was a match with a lot of intensity and a lot of play, and that’s part of soccer. There are matches like that where you have to fight. We showed great spirit today. We won, that’s the main thing.

Is it important for you to show that you’ve won the Champions League against a European powerhouse?

Yes, we lost to them at the start of the season and it was important for us to get our revenge. We won today and we’re very happy.
