Paris Saint-Germain lost 0-1 to Botafogo on Matchday 2 of the Club World Cup (video highlights PSG – Botafogo). Following this setback, 19-year-old Parisian midfielder Warren Zaïre-Emery spoke to PSG TV.
Zaire-Emery “We were able to create chances, but not put them away”.
“It was a complicated match, with a good Brazilian team who put in a lot of intensity and got into the duels. But I don’t think the scoreline reflects the match, because I think we had the ball all the time. We were able to create chances, but not put them away. Now I think we’re a very good team and we need to keep up the momentum.
We take every game in the same way, always trying to give our all and implement what the coach asks of us. It’s not over yet, now we have to go out and win the next game to qualify.”
