On Wednesday at the Parc des Princes, Paris Saint-Germain beat Brest 7-0 (video highlights PSG/Brest, 10-0 overall) as part of the Champions League 2024-2025 return play-offs. Here are the scores awarded by Le Parisien and L’Équipe to the capital’s players.
Le Parisien :
Barcola (7) – Kvaratkshelia (7,5) – Dembélé (6)
Ruiz (7,5) – Vitinha (7,5) – Neves (7)
Nuno Mendes (6,5) – Pacho (6) – Marquinhos (7) – Hakimi (5.5)
Donnarumma (6,5)
L’Equipe :
Luis Enrique – 8
Barcola (7) – Kvaratkshelia (6) – Dembélé (6)
Ruiz (7) – Vitinha (6) – Neves (6)
Nuno Mendes (6) – Pacho (6) – Marquinhos (7) – Hakimi (5)
Donnarumma (6)
As is often the case, PSG are “under-rated”. With Hakimi’s “5”, you’d almost think it was a very average match for the Parisians. L’Equipe will have to be reminded that winning 7-0 and 10-0 over the two games as a whole doesn’t happen every 5 minutes. Show some respect. It has to be said that there really isn’t any.
They’re probably waiting for the next games, but when are they going to take the present into account? Le Parisien is more credible in this salvo of notes. Paris crushed Brest and the players had a big impact on that. It seems logical to say so, but L’Equipe once again forgot to mention it.
