Former Paris Saint-Germain player Danilo Pereira (at the club from 2020 to 2024), now with Al-Ittihad and the Portuguese national team, spoke to Onze Mondial. The 34-year-old defender/midfielder was asked which match he would most like to play again — and his answer was clear: the Classico against Olympique de Marseille, with a special memory attached.
“I’d love to replay a Classico against OM. It’s always special — the atmosphere is incredible. Matches like that bring out so many emotions and sensations. The one that marked me the most, and that I’d love to relive, was our 2–0 win with ten men (at the Vélodrome, on March 31, 2024). (Lucas) Beraldo had been sent off in the first half. It was difficult to play under those conditions, but we got the job done.”
It’s always great to see a former player keep such fond memories of PSG. Danilo clearly understood the meaning of this rivalry — giving everything on the pitch and doing whatever it takes to win. That particular victory, earned while playing a man down at the Vélodrome, remains a memorable one for him. No doubt he’ll continue to be a Parisian supporter for years to come.
