Lucas Beraldo, 21-year-old Paris Saint-Germain defender, was sidelined during the 2-0 victory against Lens in Ligue 1’s Matchday 4. The injury was due to a severe ankle twist during a duel. According to Le Parisien, tests conducted that evening brought rather good news.
“The left-footed defender underwent tests that evening, which, according to our information, ruled out a serious injury. Suffering from an ankle sprain without ligament damage, Beraldo should logically avoid a long outage.”
Of course, Beraldo will still be out for a while, probably weeks. But there was concern that it would be months, and he will certainly avoid that dire outcome. We’re still waiting for certainty; we’ve already seen the press stray far from the correct length of time.
Let’s hope that this Sunday’s results are not too serious, with also good news concerning Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (24-year-old striker) and Lee Kang-In (24-year-old midfielder/striker).
