This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain take on Girona at the Parc des Princes for Matchday 1 of the Champions League 2024-2025 league phase (kick-off 9pm, broadcast on Canal+). On the eve of the match, L’Equipe has put forward a likely Parisian line-up.
Barcola – Asensio – Dembélé
Neves – Vitinha – Ruiz or Zaïre-Emery
Mendes – Pacho – Marquinhos – Hakimi
Safonov.
A team that does indeed seem likely, with ultimately no risk taken on the biggest question. Zaïre-Emery obviously couldn’t do the whole training session yesterday, and Fabian Ruiz is a real contender. At the moment, it’s hard to say which choice will be made, although we’d go for the latter.
As for the rest, even if there is some competition, there’s a feeling that this is what’s taking shape. Even if Lee Kang-In (23-year-old midfielder/winger) or Lucas Beraldo (20-year-old defender) in particular could also start without coming as a shock.
We’ll have to wait and see what happens, as we all know that the press doesn’t have a clear-cut line-up the day before. Coach Luis Enrique can always surprise.
