This week sees the 1st day of the Champions League league phase (see the end of this article for an explanation of the new format). Here are the matches to be played this week, with the particularity that there are now also matches on Thursday. As a reminder, Paris Saint-Germain take on Girona on Wednesday at the Parc des Princes at 9pm.

Qualification by ranking:
1st to 8th: qualification for the Round of 8.
9th to 24th: qualification for a two-legged play-off round.
25th to 36th: elimination from all European competitions.
