Guillaume Hoarau, former Paris Saint-Germain striker (2008–2013) and now a sports consultant, spoke on Ici Paris this Friday evening. He made a strong statement about the future of PSG midfielder João Neves (20).
“Neves could very well see himself spending his career at PSG.”
“I don’t know if I can reveal any scoops… He’s not someone who projects himself too far ahead, he lives in the moment. But today, he could very well see himself spending his career at PSG.”
It’s not much, as this isn’t a direct announcement from Neves himself, and we know how quickly football can change. On both the club’s and the player’s side, many things can happen in the coming years. This is not a promise of ending his career at PSG.
However, it’s encouraging that this is the idea being conveyed by the Portuguese midfielder, who clearly feels good in Paris. It’s only positive, and hopefully it lasts a long time because he is such a valuable player.
