Senny Mayulu, Paris Saint-Germain’s 19-year-old midfielder, spoke to Canal+ after the 5-0 victory over Inter Milan (video highlights PSG/Inter Milan) this Saturday at the Allianz Arena in the final of the Champions League 2024-2025. He spoke about the historic title and his late goal.
Mayulu: “It’s a childhood dream”.
What does it mean to you, the club’s “Titi”?
Frankly, I can’t describe the feeling, it’s incredible. We’re making history, it’s our first Champions League, it’s been a childhood dream of mine since I was a kid. I scored, plus there’s my family, we won 5-0 in the Champions League final, there’s a lot of joy, a lot of pride. It’s incredible.
Mayulu “I said to myself, ‘I’ve got to score.
You said you knew you were going to score, how incredible is that?
I prepared myself in the warm-up to be able to score, or at least I did everything I could mentally. In life, you have to be determined, so I said to myself “I’ve got to score”. I wasn’t 100% sure, of course, but the opportunity presented itself and I was able to finish.
In front of the family, how crazy is that?
Yes, of course, in front of the family, the fans, winning 5-0 in the Champions League final, yes, we’re very happy.
