Paris Saint-Germain beat Olympique Lyonnais 3-1 (video summary PSG/Lyon) this Sunday at the Parc des Princes as part of Matchday 15 of Ligue 1 2024-2025. The match was interrupted in the second half by chants from the Collectif Ultras Paris in the Auteuil stand. Julien Froment, a journalist with France Info, gave details of this episode, which could lead to a sanction.
“A report was indeed drawn up by the League delegate, for “insulting chants” and not for “discriminatory chants”, which changes the situation in terms of sanctions. PSG risks a simple fine, and not, a priori, the closure of Auteuil.”
PSG should therefore not have at least one match with part of its stadium closed, but rather an amount to pay. Nothing too serious, although of course this is always to be avoided. A discussion could take place between the club and this group of supporters to put an end to the incidents.
The same kind of chanting is regularly heard in other stadiums, with interruptions and sanctions being rare at best.
