This Wednesday, Paris Saint-Germain (25th) take on Manchester City (22nd) at the Parc des Princes for Matchday 7 of the Champions League 2024-2025 league phase. With 2 days to go, Djamel has confirmed that Ousmane Dembélé (27-year-old striker) and Achraf Hakimi (26-year-old right-back) will return to training today. Marquinhos (30-year-old central defender and captain) remains in doubt.
“Ousmane Dembélé, affected by severe flu, is expected to resume training today, as is Achraf Hakimi, who had been rested as a precaution.
Marquinhos, bothered by an adductor muscle in recent days, did a few runs on Saturday and felt good. He is due to test himself again today to assess his physical condition.”
We’re still waiting to be sure, as it’s sometimes difficult to announce exactly when players will be back or absent, as it depends so much on how a player feels, as well as on his medical condition. But Dembélé and Hakimi should be present, as they are not recovering from injury. It’s more uncertain for Marquinhos. Let’s hope the news from training continues to be positive.
