This Sunday, Paris Saint-Germain (1st) take on Saint-Etienne (15th) at the Parc des Princes for the 17th day of Ligue 1 2024-2025 (kick-off 8:45pm, broadcast on DAZN in France). Paris coach Luis Enrique must choose his starting 11, taking into account the opponent, upcoming matches and suspension risks, after having formed the Parisian squad for this match.
PSG have had time to prepare after last Sunday’s Champions Trophy win over Monaco (1-0), and their next game is on Wednesday against FC Espaly (National 3, 5th French division) in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France.
It’s safe to assume that coach Luis Enrique will be fielding a mainly win-oriented team, with perhaps a slight rotation to give some of the players a bit of rhythm. It remains to be seen what he will consider to be the best possible XI for this match, between this week’s unseen competition and his analysis of the opponent.
Possible team :
Doué – Ramos – Dembélé
Neves – Vitinha – Zaïre-Emery
Mendes – Pacho – Beraldo – Hakimi
Donnarumma
Subtitutes– Safonov, Tenas, Hernandez, Tape, Zague, Lee, Mayulu, Ruiz, Asensio, Barcola.
Out – Marquinhos, Mbaye (blessure), Kimpembe (reprise), El Hannach, Kolo Muani, Skriniar (choix).
Possible suspension for yellow card: Achraf Hakimi.
The suspension will be effective from Tuesday January 21, against Reims on Matchday 19 of Ligue 1.
