Arnau Tenas, the 24-year-old Spanish goalkeeper who signed with Paris Saint-Germain until 2026 in the summer of 2023 after the end of his contract at FC Barcelona, is currently receiving almost no playing time, and there is talk of a move away. Cadena SER and journalist Matteo Moretto confirmed today that he has reached an agreement with Villarreal.
Cadaena SER:
“Villarreal is approaching Roma for Ukrainian striker Artem Dovbyk
The sporting board has also reached an agreement with goalkeeper Arnau Tenas, subject to PSG’s approval.”
Matteo Moretto:
“Villarreal has finalized an agreement with Arnau Tenas, pending final details between the clubs.”
There is little doubt about this transfer today, even if it is not yet a done deal. Many media outlets have mentioned Villarreal’s interest, and it would seem logical that Tenas would be willing to sign for this top-of-the-table La Liga club, which will be competing in the Champions League.
The only thing missing is the agreement with PSG, which is likely not too complicated, given that they shouldn’t have high demand for a number 3 who’s being pushed out. Be careful, though, as the transfer window can sometimes be a surprise. Let’s wait for official confirmation for certainty.
