Arnau Tenas, a 24-year-old Spanish goalkeeper who signed with Paris Saint-Germain until 2026 in the summer of 2023 after his contract with FC Barcelona expired, has not been able to make a name for himself. After a season as the third-string goalkeeper following the arrival of Matvey Safonov (26), he is leaving for Villarreal. The transfer was made official today.
This is good news for Tenas and PSG, with a transfer that allows the former to finally try to secure a regular place in the professional game, and not just anywhere, while Paris recovers a few million and doesn’t have a player who finds himself stuck.
The Spanish goalkeeper returns to La Liga with a top-flight club and even a place in the Champions League group stage already secured. It’s a great opportunity, and we hope he makes the most of it.
