Paris Saint-Germain faced Arsenal this Saturday at the Puskas Arena in the 2026 Champions League final (1-1, 3-4 on penalties). Marquinhos, defender and captain of the capital club, spoke to PSG TV after the victory.

Marquinhos: “We can go for a third.”

“These are different emotions. Once is hard, twice is even harder! We have to enjoy it and celebrate properly. We’ll celebrate tomorrow too! Thanks also to everyone at the Parc des Princes, everyone in Paris… It’s incredible, we’re living a dream. We have to continue in the right direction to keep achieving great things like this, with the fans, the management, the coach, the players… We have a very young squad, we can go for a third.”

A dream result for PSG, who have just won their second consecutive Champions League title. Last year, history was made, but this time it’s legend, as the capital club joins the very exclusive club of those who have achieved the famous “back-to-back” title.

In a tight match against a team playing with a deep defensive block, PSG found a way through and came back from a seemingly harsh and bitter 0-1 deficit. Once again, the Parisians demonstrated their strength and their resilience.

In a nail-biting finish, PSG were crowned European champions for the second consecutive time. An unforgettable moment for the Parisian people, who earned their second star and continue to experience even greater heights.
