Nuno Mendes, 23-year-old Paris Saint-Germain left-back, spoke to Canal+ after the 4-0 victory over Atalanta this Wednesday at the Parc des Princes as part of Matchday 1 of the 2025-2026 Champions League. He discussed the progress made since September 2024.

The first match last year was very difficult. PSG had come a long way since then.
Yes, of course. Now it’s more difficult than last year. Today, I think we played a good match from start to finish. We’re on the right track and we tried to play our game and control it from the start. We did it well; it’s very good.
Do you feel stronger than last year?
I think we started off at the same level because the other teams also have great players. Today we succeeded, we scored four goals and we didn’t concede a goal at home. It’s good, we’re on the right track.
