This Saturday, Paris Saint-Germain (2nd) will face Auxerre (10th) at the Parc des Princes for matchday 6 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season (kick-off at 9:05 PM, broadcast on Ligue1+). On Friday, L’Equipe reported an injury concern for 29-year-old midfielder Fabian Ruiz.
“Fabian Ruiz was not mentioned in Paris Saint-Germain’s medical report on Friday, but the Spaniard could start Saturday’s match against Auxerre (9:05 PM) on the bench. The midfielder has been experiencing muscle pain since the team’s return from the away match in Marseille (0-1).
Luis Enrique didn’t want to risk aggravating the injury and opted to ease the player back into training over the past few days, not including him in all of the sessions.”
There is nothing alarming yet, but the situation will need to be monitored closely, as this injury concern could become a major issue for a squad already affected by four other injuries (João Neves, Désiré Doué, Marquinhos, and Ousmane Dembélé). It’s likely the coaching staff will take a cautious approach; let’s hope that Ruiz’s injury isn’t serious.
