Senny Mayulu, the 19-year-old midfielder from Paris Saint-Germain, spoke to the media after the 2-0 victory against Auxerre on Saturday at the Parc des Princes, during matchday 6 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season.
Mayulu: “We all support each other”
A word about the injuries? Is it a topic in the locker room?
I don’t have any updates, we just finished the match. That’s football, it happens. We hope they recover well. We all support each other, whether it’s with injuries or poor performances.
Important to get back on track after the defeat against OM and before Barcelona?
Of course. We want to win every match. Unfortunately, we lost against Marseille. But we bounced back. We want to be ready for Barcelona, and we did it with a win, so we are very happy.
Mayulu: “The coach is very cool about that.”
Some academy players were called up to the first team, is it important to have a real chance?
Of course. It’s always great to see other academy players come up. When you’re in the academy, there’s always the desire to move up. The coach is very cool about that. He gives young players opportunities, he has faith in them. It’s a source of pride to see the academy players come up, and we try to help them.
Mayulu: “I already thank him for the time I’ve had.”
Perhaps starting against Barcelona on Wednesday, is that motivating for you?
I just play, that’s all. If the coach puts me in, I play. If he doesn’t, it’s not a problem, I’ll work hard in training. If I get to play, I try to do my best for the team. But I’m already grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given.
