This Saturday, during matchday 6 of the 2025-2026 Ligue 1 season, Paris Saint-Germain faced Auxerre at the Parc des Princes. After a match in which the Red and Blues dominated, despite making numerous technical errors, they won 2-0 . Here are our player ratings for the Parisians.
Goalkeeper –
Lucas Chevalier (6) – Rarely tested in the first half. He had a scare when a shot hit the post in the second half and made a good save on another Auxerre opportunity. He needs to adapt to his new role as a reserve goalkeeper, being ready to step in during those crucial moments when his team “opens up” the game.
Defenders –
Warren Zaïre-Emery (4) – A quiet first half. He had good intentions, but didn’t quite execute. He faded further into the shadows in the second half.
Ilya Zabarnyi (7) – Focusing on him, you can see the quality player he is. A commanding presence at the back, uncompromising in his tackles, he even scored the only goal of the first half.
Lucas Beraldo (6.5) – A solid first half. Always good in the air, he sometimes struggled with physical contact. He scored the second goal and continued to win his aerial duels. He maintains his quality in building attacks from the back.
Lucas Hernandez (6) – Some good forward passes, and a solid defensive performance in the first half. It’s nice to see him play a full match.
Midfielders –
Lee Kang-in (6) – As always, plenty of activity, good controlled touches, but he lacked that “extra something,” that spark, that acceleration of play. Replaced by Mathis Jangeal in the 79th minute.
Vitinha (Not Rated) – Substituted early, but still managed to deliver an assist. He likely felt a physical issue. Replaced by Achraf Hakimi (6) – Having him on the pitch is always a guarantee of security, given his relentless running. He made numerous runs and suffered from the poor technical quality of his teammates.
Senny Mayulu (6) – Relatively inconspicuous in the first half. He didn’t do anything wrong. He, too, needs to take his game to the next level this season. Replaced in the 62nd minute by Quentin Ndjantou.
Forwards –
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (4) – He tried his best, he showed he can be dangerous, but he didn’t elevate his team’s performance. Injured, he was replaced at halftime by Bradley Barcola (5) – A good cameo, but he didn’t leave a lasting impression on the match.
Gonçalo Ramos (3) – He doesn’t have enough impact, despite his efforts. With his presence in front of goal, he sometimes forgot his role as a clinical finisher and missed some good opportunities. It’s a shame, because he’s a player who puts a lot of effort into everything he does, but everything is very difficult for him at the moment.
Ibrahim Mbaye (5) – Increasingly impactful, he is asserting himself. However, the overall performance remains disjointed. We look forward to seeing him again, as he is taking one of his first steps as a professional player.
Manager –
Luis Enrique (5) – With a limited squad, the limitations are evident. PSG is still clearly superior to Auxerre, but the substitutes are still less unpredictable than the currently injured players. It’s worth noting that his team dominates in all aspects of the game, which demonstrates the work he has done.
