For Matchday 33 and Paris Saint-Germain’s final home game, the Parc des Princes hosted Stade Brestois. In a very tight match, with a heavily rotated PSG side, the Rouge et Bleu emerged victorious with a 1-0 win, moving a step closer to the title. SB29 goalkeeper Grégoire Coudert shared his immediate reactions after the match with L1+:
Coudert: “They are very talented players.”
Was it a strong performance from you?
Yes, we showed great character. I’m very proud of the team’s work. We lacked the finishing touches to come away with a point, but frankly, we showed some good things. We were strong and united, and we rediscovered some of the values that have defined us in recent years.
Did you need to rediscover your strengths after some tough matches?
Yes, that was the point and clearly the objective of this match. We needed to rediscover the energy and team spirit that we lacked, especially in the last match. It wasn’t an easy match. I’m quite proud of the team for that.
Was it difficult to get the goal from Désiré Doué’s shot?
Yes, it’s tough. He cuts inside, he cuts inside, he dribbles past everyone, so it’s not easy. They are very talented players, players who win matches. Tonight, that was unfortunately the case for us. I was blinded; it was difficult.
