Vitinha, the 26-year-old Paris Saint-Germain midfielder, took part in a press conference this Monday ahead of tomorrow’s match against FC Barcelona at the Parc des Princes (kick-off at 9:00 PM, CET), part of the third matchday of the 2026-2027 Champions League. On the sidelines of the event, he also spoke to PSG TV.
Vitinha: “It’s a privilege to be involved in a fixture like this.”
How is the squad feeling?
Very good. The truth is, we’ve had two difficult matches—against City and Strasbourg—where we had to turn things around. Now, we have a huge, huge match ahead. We’re all looking forward to it starting. It’s a privilege to be involved in a fixture like this.
Vitinha: “We have everything in place for this to be a top-tier match.”
What kind of encounter can we expect?
I think we have all the ingredients for a top-tier match. Both are great teams, featuring many outstanding individual players as well. It’s somewhat reminiscent of the game against Bayern—though it won’t necessarily be the same—with two sides that both want to have the ball and apply pressure. We’re hoping for a great match for everyone—both for those watching and for us, the players on the pitch.
